Italian Food Recipes:Makes 4 servings: 1 cup tomato sauce, 1/2 cup olive oil 1/4 cup tomato paste, 1 egg 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/8 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper1 1/16 cups water1 cup pasta (preferably the same size)1 large egg1 cup fresh basil1 teaspoon dried oregano1/8 tsp garlic powder1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes1/3 teaspoon sea salt1 cup white rice1 cup whole wheat flourPreheat oven to 375 degreesF (180 degreesC).
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and olive oil to a medium saucepan and sauté for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and olive to saucepan, cover with a lid and cook for 1 more minute.
Remove lid, add tomato paste and saute for 30 seconds.
Add eggs, herbs, parsley and salt to sauce pan and saucce for 1 second.
Add pasta and cook until al dente.
(If you’re using a pasta dish, add the pasta to the pan with the pasta.
If using the rice, add to the pasta bowl with the rice.)
Pour pasta sauce over pasta.
Stir in Parmesan, basil, oreganos and garlic powder.
Season to taste with salt.
If desired, top with extra Parmesan.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve.
