Samosa House is a popular Indian snack stuffed with spiced potato filling. This Punjabi samosa house recipe is one of the best samosa recipes you can make it at your home easily and it is very delicious in taste and it’s freshly made in the home.

  • For Samosa:
  • Boiled Potatoes  4 medium
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2.5 cups Refined Flour (Maida)
  •  1 teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin Seeds  (Jeera)  
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Seeds  
  •  1.5 teaspoons Dry Mango Powder (Amchoor)
  •  1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 4 tablespoons Clarified Butter (Ghee)
  • Cooking Oil for deep frying
  • 1 inch Finely Chopped Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder  
  • Salt  as per taste
  • For Green Chutney:
  • 2 cups chopped mint leaves (pudina).
  • 1 cup chopped coriander (hara dhania).
  • Half inch ginger chopped (adrak).
  • 1 green chili chopped (Hari Mirch).
  • 1 or 2 tsp lemon juice.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder (jeera).
  • Black salt as required.

Preparation Method:

  • To make the dough :
  • Take a bowl and add refined flour, carom seeds, salt(0.5 tsp), clarified butter, and mix well.
  • Add water as required little by little and make a slightly hard dough.
  • Cover the dough with a cloth.
  • For Stuffing:
  • Mash the boiled potatoes and keep aside.
  • Take a small pan and dry roast cumin seeds and coriander seeds.
  • Then remove it from a pan and crush it with a rolling pin (belan). Keep aside.
  • Now, take a pan and heat 2 tbsp oil and add cumin seeds. Then add chopped ginger.
  • When it turns golden brown, now add mashed potatoes, dry mango powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala.
  • Mix it well and now add salt as per taste.
  • After 5 minutes, add crushed cumin seeds and coriander and mix it well.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Now it’s ready.
  • for samosa covering:
  • Make a small ball of the dough now Flatten this ball, slightly dip it in oil and smear the oil on a flat surface.
  •  Then with a rolling pin, roll this piece of dough in an oval shape.
  • Cut this into two halves. Take one half, wet the edges, and fold the straight edge at the center to bring the two halves together, to form into a triangular case.
  • Press the overlapping portion and fill it with potato filling.
  • Now dip your finger in water and smear on the surface margin of the samosa.
  • Now, make a cone, seal the edges properly. Fill all the pieces in the same manner and covered these with a cloth.
  • Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the samosas on a medium flame till they turn golden brown from both sides.
  • Drain on absorbent paper.

Preparation Method for green chutney:

  • With some water blend all the ingredients in a blender till smooth.
  • Add more salt or lemon juice if required after check the seasoning.
  • Store the green chutney in a covered bowl in the refrigerator.
  • Enjoy… with green chutney.
